For language and literature DP1 students,

to realise and reflect one the language choices done by both the author and the translator, the effects ont the readers of each languages ? not sure. needs to be defined, refined, and digested.

This is soooo interesting. So is the idea that students will translate a piece of text? Could they then conduct an experiment where people read the text and test the understanding people have of the text, and the extent to which it’s different? Then they could translate it using slightly different word choices and see if it impacts the understanding people have? They could then present their insights back to their class with the goal being to better inform the class.
